Joy

Blue morpho butterflies can be found in the tropical parts of Central and South America, and their intense color makes them easy to spot. In Joy, each butterfly’s titanium wings were hammered to achieve the desired texture. Then they were heat-tempered to achieve the vivid blue color. The butterflies are mounted to stylized leaves carved out of quillo bordon wood from the Peruvian Amazon, wood that is naturally bright yellow. As the light changes in the course of a day, the blue of the titanium butterflies changes hue.
