Emergence

Emergence was carved from a single piece of natural wood burl, with the flowing form of an octopus revealed within the wood as the sculpture takes shape. Inspired by an octopus tucked into the crevices of a tidepool, the piece captures a moment from nature and brings it to life through the process of carving.
